Title: Real Time Simulation for Load Frequency Control of Multisource Microgrid System Using Grey Wolf Optimization Based Modifed Bias Coefcient Diagram Method (GWO‑MBCDM) Controller
Authors: Kumar, Badal; Adhikari, Shuma; Datta, Subir; Sinha, Nidul
Abstract: This paper proposes a modifed bias (MB) and coefcient diagram method (CDM) based PID controller as a frst attempt in
controlling frequency of a self-reliant microgrid (MG) system under extreme unfavourable scenarios. Recently developed
meta-heuristic algorithm, Grey Wolf Optimizer (GWO), is used for optimizing the parameters of the proposed controller
GWO). Frequency deviation arises in the system due to active power mismatch between load power demand and actual
power generation. In order to overcome this problem the CDM based gain values and frequency biased parameters of the
MG system are used for determining the ranges of the control parameters for optimization with GWO which ensures that
the search points generated by the search algorithm are stable ones. Simulation of the proposed GWO optimized MB-CDM
controller-based MG system has been successfully implemented in real time simulation platform using digital simulator
OPAL-RT. The performance of the system is obtained using proposed controller under diferent real-life scenarios and results
are minutely analysed. The results are further compared with other relevant recent controllers including particle swarm
optimization (PSO) MB-CDM controller to demonstrate that the proposed controller is superior to all other controllers.
In addition, sensitivity analysis of the proposed controller for the MG system is studied under varying system parameters.
The Simulink results illustrate that the proposed controller gives the best dynamic response amongst all other considered
controllers in terms of peak transient deviation and settling time

Real Time Simulation of Modified Bias Based Load Disturbance Rejection Controller for Frequency Regulation of Islanded Micro-Grid

Title: Real Time Simulation of Modified Bias Based Load Disturbance Rejection Controller for Frequency Regulation of Islanded Micro-Grid
Authors: Kumar, Badal; Adhikari, Shuma; Datta, Subir; Sinha, Nidul
Abstract: The paper presents a real time modelling of self-reliant isolated grid comprising both governable and ungovern able sources. The frequency of this system must be maintained to its desired value by reducing its deviation
occurred when there is a mismatch between the load demand and the actual power generation. In order to
achieve it, the actual power output of the micro-grid is required to regulate. Therefore, an attempt is made in
this paper to design a modified bias (MB) with LDR (load disturbance rejection) based PID (proportional inte gral derivative) Controller and it can also be called droop based controller (DBC). Simulation of the micro-grid
system with proposed MB-LDR based control scheme is successfully done in Real Time Simulation platform
using the digital simulator of OPAL-RT OP4510. Simulation results of the system for different conditions are
presented and analysis is given in details. Thereafter, comparative performance of the results obtained using
proposed MB-LDR based controller with that of LDR and classical controllers is made. Results show that the
proposed MB-LDR based controller gives better response as compare to other two methods in terms of peak
transient deviation, settling time and number of oscillations

SD Card Based File System for CNC Machine using TMS320F2837xD Processor

Title: SD Card Based File System for CNC Machine using TMS320F2837xD Processor
Authors: Dhikale, D. D.; Morade, S. S.
Abstract: The main objective of this paper is to implement SD
card based file handling system for CNC machine.CNC machine
uses numerical data to control a machine. The system uses
dual core DSP processor with c28xx core. Implementation of
file system for CNC machine reduces the file processing and
tool processing time to a great extent. The dual core DSP
processor is interface with the SD card for large storage of
data in CNC machine. The TMS320F2837xD control card has
SD card slot so file system can be designed for CNC system. The
algorithm for file handling for CNC machine is implemented
using Texas instrument Code Composer Studio IDE
environment. The another important task of this experiment is
to convert the .CNC file into the machine acceptable format for
the tool processing and file processing in the CNC machine.

Industrial Parameters Monitoring System based on Embedded Web Server

Title: Industrial Parameters Monitoring System based on Embedded Web Server
Authors: Chandwadkar, D. M.; Chavan, S. K.; Ugale, S. P.
Abstract: The main aim of this paper is to deal with remote
monitoring of various physical parameters of an electrical device
via web-based application. This system facilitate user to monitor
the real-time data from across the globe as the whole data is made
available through pre-designed website. Real-time monitoring of
electrical parameters is needed beside the high performance and
precision of measurements with the development of modern
industry towards networking. The main objectives of paper are to
access the real-time data on global scale, to reduce the cost of visit
& maintenance and finally to improve quality as well as
throughput of production. All the physical parameters of an
electronic device such as temperature, current, gas flow, viscosity
etc. will be monitor independently. Microcontroller is used for the
interconnection of all sensors and all collected information will be
send to the web page using GSM facility. This real-time
monitoring system definitely offers user for hassle free data
accession. For high precision, repeatability of real-time data
monitoring system has been done. This concept is helpful in
industrial sectors for real time monitoring
