Abstract: | The presentpaper,dealswithatheoreticalstudyconcerningtheeffectofnon-Newtonianlubricanton the stabilityofatwolobesymmetricholeentrywornhybridjournalbearing,compensatedwithconstant flowvalverestrictor.Trajectoriesofjournalcentermotionhavebeenobtainedbysolvingthenonlinear equationofmotionforthejournalcenterwiththeRunge–Kuttamethod.Thenumericallysimulated results indicatethatthenon-Newtonianbehaviorofthelubricanthasaprofoundinfluence onthe journal trajectoriesandstabilityofawornhybridjournalbearing.Aproperselectionofparameterssuch as offsetfactor,weardepthparameterandthenon-linearityfactormayprovidebetterbearingstability. |
